Default there are no dumb questions ?

Going to challenge that thought . lol I bought a boat that has livescope . I have a 93 SV UHD , model that he had one unit running livescope , sideview , the works . I added a 93SV that is not UHD to run livescope . Here comes the Question ? what units can I replace to run livescope ? Will all units that have are livescope compatible work ? Wanting to go up in screen size .

I know the 1022, 1222sv, GPSMAP 8612, 106SV. I believe they all will work with you current Livescope setup.

If you are talking about networking the unit's together you will have to stay in the same series. Echomaps series with only network to other echomaps, GPSmap series will only network to other GPSmaps. To be able to see the livescope on different screens, share transducer and other stuff the units need to be networked together. Since you already have an Echomap 93 stay with the Echomap series for networking. The 93's have one ethernet port on them. The 10 and 12 in Echomap Ultra's have 2 ethernet ports. You can run the network cable from the livescope to the Ultra unit then to a single 93, that set up will share livescope and any transducer connected to either head unit In this setup the Ultra acts as the network port.

It sounds like you have a two 93's one plus(no UHD) and one 93 UHD and are wanting a 10 or 12 in screen. In order to network all three together and livescope you would have to also get a Network port the Garmin one has 5 ports. In this set up you would run the livescope (1), both 93's (2 & 3) and the Ultra (4) to the Network port meaning you would be using 4 of the 5 ports.

Here is the link to Garmin site GMS 10 | Garmin . I have seen threads where people are using regular network ports from amazon but they are not waterproof, they are much cheaper you would have to make your own choice if you want to go that route.

On my boat I have livescope running into a mid boat mounted 10" ultra into a 12" inch ultra up front then out of the 12" into 93 plus(non UHD) mounted beside the 12" I can see livescope on all three units and share waypoints between all of them.
For transducers I have a stern mounted GT56 connected to the 10" and a GT54 from the Force trolling motor connected to the bow 12". I can pick whichever transducer I want to use from each head.

If you want you can give me a call, I'll try to answer any questions I can. I Pm'ed my number to you about the GT52 recently.

I do not plan on networking anything only want a larger screen on the live scope . Nothing else changes . I Actually am going to seek red ear beds in state lakes . Sideview on trolling motor shaft . Perspective view on Seelite system .

For livescope only any of the GPS maps or Echo map series will work.

Here is a list with Garmin Prices lowest to higher.
    1022 no sonar module $1299
    1022xsv w/o Transducer $1499 Worldwide map
    1042xsv w/o Transducer $1599 Bluechart G3 and lakevu G3

    102sv w/o Transducer $1649 Worldwide base map
    106sv w/o Transducer $1749 Bluechart G3 and lakevu G3
    102 or 106 with GT56 $2149 either map available

    1222 no sonar module $1999
    1222xsv w/o Transducer $2199 Worldwide map
    1242xsv w/o Transducer $2299 Bluechart G3 and lakevu G3

    122sv w/o Transducer $2349 Worldwide base map
    126sv w/o Transducer $2549 Bluechart G3 and lakevu G3
    122 or 126 with GT56 $2949 either map available

There is also the GPSmap 86xx Series but they are really expensive.

The least expensive way would be the GPS map 1022 ($1300) or 1222 ($2000) with no sonar module built in if you can find one. If I couldn’t find one of those I would go with the Echo map ultra either 102sv or 126sv to stay in the same family. Reason being with one Cat5 cable it could be networked with the 93 to share maps (I’m assuming the 93UHD came with the inland maps rather than the worldwide map), waypoints and transducer. That would give you the options of using the larger screen with better resolution when searching for beds with the side scan.

Which side imaging transducer are you using. Do you want to keep it or upgrade as well?

Just replying to say what my dad used to tell me. There are no dumb questions unless you ask it twice.

Any of the garmin models with the panoptix port can run livescope, since you are talking larger screens... Any of the current UHD or gpsmap basically. Or you might be able to find a used Plus unit, all the bigger ones of those work too.

If you do ever decide to network, you can view everything across all your units.
