Default 12' semi-V using trolling motor only. Mount transducer on motor or transom?

I'm going to be installing the transducer for a Helix 7 with Mega-SI on an aluminum 12' semi-V. I use a transom mounted trolling motor as the only propulsion for the boat and I take the trolling motor off each time I'm finished fishing.

I bought the mounting bracket below but I'm wondering if I should mount the transducer offset to one side of the trolling motor using that bracket or onto the trolling motor itself? If I mount it offset onto the transom, I'm worried about the trolling motor blocking some of the side imaging.

If you mount it to the trolling motor the image will get skewed every time you turn. Mine is mounted to the tansom and shoots past an outboard motor just fine. That mount should do just fine
