Is MEGA Live connected directly to the head unit or to an AS ETH 5XPG ... ??

Been out 2 times with mega live. Having trouble getting unit to recognize the ML. Has taken me 20 to 30 minutes to get it to recognize. Any suggestions? Did manage 4 small crappie today. Long learning curve ahead.

It is connected directly to head unit. It is the only thing on a new battery. The only way it have got it to connect is by, turning helix off and unplug. Restart several times.
Mine is connected the same as yours. Takes mine about 5 minutes or so to connect the 1 st time every trip. I have ML as one of my favorite buttons, I wait until I press this button and ML shows up before trying any other function. Like I said, it is slow to connect.
Mine sometimes connect rather slowly as well.
I cannot get a boat icon on both The helm and bow Helix 10 MSI +
Mega live sonar data freezes, yet the data boxes remain live on that screen.

Already updated mega live twice.
Beta.

It is frustrating for sure. Is there a way to try and make it connect without turning unit off and back on?
