Yes, as mentioned by others the transducer cable/adapter is totally separate from the etherner cable it's two separateconnections. You will need the dongle adapter to connect the supplied ethernet cable on the TM to your bird.

    Humminbird AS EC QDE
This is the adapter you need to connect trolling motor to your helix the other you posted I believe is the adapter for the transducer.

I'm lost! I have only the 1 cord coming from the TM for hookup to the Helix, the other is for the foot pedal, isn't it? The AS EC QDE has a smaller connector than what is on the cord from the TM. Am I missing something here.. LOL

    Newbies, right?

That adapter is to connect your motor to your unit via the ethernet cable that comes from your trolling motor. You said you had link so it should be there.you should also have the transducer cable that you need an adapter for. You should have a total of 3 cables. The transducer cable, ethernet cable and foot pedal. If you do not have the ethernet cable then you may not have the link feature.

Well, I feel like an idiot! I had tied that cable up, not thinking I needed it. Cable will be picked up today..

Thank you all for getting me straight on this.. hopefully, one of these days I can return the favor, pass it on..

Hey icehouse I know this is a old post but I was wondering if you got the link system hooked up and working. It has some really handy features on it. Just wondering how it turned out and if you get much use out of the link features.
