It will quit pinging when out of the water but still has power draw. I have mine connected to my main power switch.

I don't have a main power switch in my stick boat. Can I just put the live on a standard toggle?

My question, sorry haven't really sat down and messed with it or installed it for that matter. If I have the MEGA powered off, can I use the trolling motor transducer to view my rigging routes? I don't want 2 graphs up front if I don't have to. I'm about to go out and install the MEGA this morning.

You don’t have to power off the Live, just switch screen “views”. I use my Mega DI transducer, Mega 360 and Live. The 3 hot buttons are your friend!

Thank you sir! I wasn't sure because I haven't had a chance to toy with mine yet. I had plans of installing it this past Saturday, but freezing temps have me very hesitant to work in my uninsulated workshop. Here I was thinking that I would need to turn it off and on because of the power draw. I have my plan in place, but I just bought nused boat and won't install until that boat is in my garage.

The power draw when left on and out of the water while fishing is so little amount and really unnoticeable in both the mega 360 and Mega Live. If left on while garaged or trailered, might even take as much as a couple of weeks on a fully charged 100 amp battery to fully drain it. . I turn my power on when launching and turn it off when trailering the boat after a day of fishing.

I manually set the depth to 25’ since that’s about what I was fishing in and it jumped to 2-4’ when I was over a dock support.

Most guys I have seen are starting out with Sensitivity and Contrast set to 10 and if you have any signs of interference..set your
Interference Rejection setting to low starting out. I have installed mine since getting it Dec 31 but won’t be able to get out till Feb 28 to test and setup everything myself. Right now roads are covered with a glaze of ice and covered with 1-2 inches of snow and down to 12 with a wind chill of 4 tonite. I plan on maybe turning the heat up in the garage and turning everything on this weekend to check it all out in the boat. I need to reset my network on 4 depthfinders, mega 360 and mega live and adjust settings.
