Default Submerged Tree on Mega Live and Down Imaging

Found a full load of 9” crappie with the occasional 10” on two submerged trees 50’ from each other. This would be a great place to take some kids and let them wear’em out Just amazed of the available technology that has changed how and where I fish. Name: 1A21C56F-F86B-4332-84AA-B8A01A08CA87.jpg

Rooster, I have been very impressed with its detail and just as frustrated since you can see the fish move to the bait and turn its nose up at it. Lol
I can’t give a honest opinion vs Livescope but it saved my bank account $3k without going with Garmin. I do think it is better than the lowrance version from the videos I’ve seen. Just my .02 and some days it’s not worth that.
    Tightlines to ya sir!

I wanted MEGA Live since I have 2 Helix 9s. Then of course I found that I have Gen 2s and not 3s, so I was in a quandary. I took my GF to BPS and looked for a Helix 10 and MEGA live. Since I run an Ulterra I can still use the Helix to run my Ulterra and I got "We have teh 10, but no LIVE." UGH Then the sales guys says "I have the 93 sv for $500 off and you get $200 cash back on the LS." So, I walked away with the Garmin unit and LS. $2200 will be my out of pocket and then the stupid mount. UGH My post is coming where I ask for pictures of where people have placed their transducers.

That’s the hard part of finding a Mega Live and I got extremely lucky. Extremely. You won’t be disappointed in the LS. It’s the king.
I didn’t want to go that route simply because for one, I didn’t want to add $2k with the $1500 transducer investment for the Garmin. Second, I like that I can network all my units and make one waypoint they all share.
Cornfield makes a mount for your ulterra if you want it on the TM shaft. Or go the route I went with a removable and seperate mount with the Fishimg Specialties bowducer. I posted a pic on this site somewhere that shows the mount.
Either way, post some pics and enjoy the Xmas present.

This is the reason I want MEGA Live. I already have my boat networked and have an opening for another graph. I'm going to see if I can find one and return my LS. It's all about simplicity and not adding another unit from another manufactured. Unless I remove all my Helix units and Ulterra and go to all Garmin in the future.

Yeah at this point if I was you I’d continue to be patient and get what you want and works with what you have without having to add all new electronics. Contact Brian or another and getting on the wait list might be easier than trying to find one.
