Matrix 27 fish locator with gps

Has any one used the Matrix 27 gps humminbird unit,I got one and have not used it yet,but from my searching it talks about a pc connect cable but I dont know how it would be used anyone here use this unit and the gps with the pc connect cable.and where can i find some information about using the gps part of this unit..I know this is old school but thats all I have at the moment..Thanks

The AS PC3 connect cable kit was used in these older units for updating software before SD Cards were prominent ...

HB shows out of stock but some online retail outlets may still have it ... don’t rule out big box stores like Walmart.com or Amazon when searching ...

Can you input way points gps couirdants in this unit matrix 27 while on the water,from the screen you can mark the location your at but I cant seem to find where I can type in a location,(lattude,longatude) then go to that location.most likely have to use the humminbird app and the as pc3 cable while at home to do that.

The unit will populate Menu options for GPS functions when a compatible GPS antenna is connected ...

I cannot locate info to verify which models of Humminbird GPS antenna are compatible with Matrix ...

this unit that I have has a gps antenna with it,and it does show the gps location where Im setting in the boat I cam mark that location,but I wanted to input a lat,long, location and maybe it would point the direction to go.but I dont think thats possable.As far as I know the only way to do that is with the humminbird app. and cable only.If theres another way I wish I knew,It would be nice,to be able to do that while out on the water.

Is there a Nav Tab in the Main Menu System ??

If so can you post a pic of the Nav tab Menu items ... ??

I will look and see but I dont think that it does,im getting the impression im a sunk duck with that idea.all is not lost Im getting back to my Garmin Etrex 10 and Ill load my way points from the AFGC web site to it and then go to these spots and then mark them with the matrix27.Or go to Google Earth and find a lake that I want to fish and put my places I want to check out for fishing and then load them in my garmin and then do the same with those waypoints ...thank you for your replys and your help..
