Default Where’s my Loyal Garmin Users?

What’s the opinion on the GT54 transducer offered with the Garmin models on sale for xmas? Is it a lesser model or not High Definition? I’m a Humminbird user and I’m pretty clueless on the Garmin brands. Any help and knowledge would be appreciated. Thank you and tightlines!

I have one on the stern of my boat and one on the trolling motor. Mine have given me good images on my Ultra units.
Ive seen some images from the GT56 transducer and they were great. I’m sure it’s a better transducer it but the GT 54 isn’t bad at all

54 is uhd and is a good transducer. 56 is uhd and better transducer. Dialed in, the 54 is fine.

I have a gt 54 networked to a 106sv and a 93sv uhd. The side imaging is pretty good the down imaging is really impressive to me.

The gt56 will have a longer side imaging range in higher frequency than the 54.

I found mine used (new in box) from Russell marine for $300. You can probably sell your 54 for $150 so a cheap upgrade in my mind. Name: 20211113_130322.jpg

I'm in the same boat. Lol.
I got the garmin 106sv with the gt54 for black friday. Thinking about buying the gt56 and selling the gt54. But I also have a pontoon boat in the works. So may keep the gt54 for that so I can swap the finder. Working on getting a livescope setup in the morning. I've been pricing around. Not many deals

Robbor, I was interested in the Garmin for a couple of reasons. It was on sale and deeply discounted. The Garmin is badass on 2d at high speeds which my Helix models won’t accomplish and adding Livescope was a contingency plan if the Mega Live was a flop after installing.
But for the sale price of the Garmin 10”, it was considered. Just curious about the transducer since they published the ad noting which transducer came with it.
Tightlines to ya and see ya on the water!

And I ordered a livescope for $1425 last week. So I should be set. Now I just need a 12" next year instead of the 10" I just bought lol.
