    Default Battery ground

While hooking up the HB mega 360 it has a drain/shield wire in addition tot the ground. My power source is a small 46AH Duracell AGM that also powers my LS black box and Garmin 1022. The HB helix 10 G3N is powered off main battery.

For my upfront AGM battery I have the positive going to a switch and then into a small fuze panel where I connect the equipment. Ground goes to buss on fuze panel.
Should I have a ground running from the negative post of the battery to somewhere on the hull?

I see no reason that bonding the hull ( not using the hull as a ground) would have any negatives. The hull is likely grounded the the things attached to it. It would help reduce any electrical interfere the cable would pick up. I would want the sheild wire hooked up to the negative post of the battery that powered that unit

I believe he was talking about grounding the hull not grounding to the hull.

Never ground to the hull which I think is what he was asking. Bad things happen when that occurs

    Default Battery ground

Ok. So everything is tied to the fuze box negative buss and the negative battery terminal.

46AH Agm house bat tree r with dedicated charger that powers
    -Garmin 1022
    -LS black box
    -HB 360.

15 Amp rocker switch between batter and fuze panel.

All is working so tomorrow I get it out on the water.

Just remember the hull is grounded to the starting battery if you have a metal boat.
