Seems like the Hummingbird is the way to go
Garmin is way easier to use out of the box. I just bought the garmin ultra 122 with gt56 ducer. Had it out yesterday for 1st time and it was awesome. Search MG marine tech on YouTube and see what you think.
I have had the helix 10 mega si and it was outstanding. But I wanted garmin to go with my Force. I love the Go To option when linked. Find the brush pile and drop the trolling motor and it takes you right to the spot you marked on SI.
Lowrance and HB will have a higher leaning curve. Do you have a trolling motor with spot lock you want to link?
I have the ultrex but I already have it linked with a helix 8 gn3 only use it for the link and 2d. Just wanting a very good SI for the console.
HB overall still has the best SI in my opinion.
I've a 9 and 12 carbon and two side scan transducers a Lss2 and a 2-1 the units are net worked so I can switch back and forth here's a few screen shots first one is 455hrz Lss2 last 3 are 2-1 on 800Attachment 413315Attachment 413316Attachment 413317Attachment 413318 there ok but if you have bird all ready I'd stick with bird

My garmin ultra with gt56 ducer looks pretty dang good.
Don't know if HB is the best or not. I do know the Helix 10 Mega I put on in 2017 or maybe it was 2018 has served me well and saved me a lot of time and put me on a lot of fish.
Regards

J.M. I love my Helix 10 and wish it was a 12. I will say the learning curve is like going from a PC to an Apple product. They are just different in their approach. When I went from Zercom to Lowrance and then my Bird years it was a challenge to get everything dialed into what I wanted it to do. These folks here at CDC have helped me over the years to make all those steps easier. Nobody makes a unit you can just turn on and have best view of everything without knowing which buttons to push to get there. Good luck and I would lean Humminbird.
