A bit of silicone grease on the O ring may make things move a little easier

Check to see if all the pins are straight and aligned with their respective holes in the female plug-in. IF you have to straighten them, do it VERY VERY GENTLY.

WHEN REMOVING the plug-ins ..... NEVER NEVER wiggle up/down or with pressure in any direction .... ALWAYS pull the plugs STRAIGHT out.

Check the end of the plug to see if there are any signs of small holes in the rubber next to the holes where the pins are supposed to go .... a slightly bent pin CAN be pushed into the rubber of the plug if the pins and holes are not aligned.

I'm saying all this because this is what happened to my Lowrance Elite 5DSI unit. After the 3rd attempt to straighten one of the pins to align with it's proper hole, the pin broke off .... rendering the unit useless. I replaced it with a Hook 7 and am extremely careful about how I push in or pull out the plugs.

On my boat I use Dia_electric grease on all my plug ins....Makes it easier and better, and no corrosion.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

do not use any regular grease { petroleum based grease } on any plugs or o rings, use silicon or better dialectric grease
