Default need some humminbird cable help please

upgraded to a helix 7 si g3n at the bow. previous configuration was a 798 at the bow connected thru an inter-link to a 797. When I moved the 798 to the console, I assumed it was just a matter of taking the COM cable coming from the bow unit off the inter-link and connect it directly into the console unit, but the plug gender is wrong. Looked at Humminbirds cables on the internet and don't see an adapter. I should add that I installed the ethernet cable with the two dongles. So I guess my question is what do I do with the COM cable? Wondering if I need it with an ethernet setup? thanks

HB Interlink (old sharing tech) and Ethernet (newer sharing tech) are 2 completely different animals ...

If there is still an xx7 series in the configuration - it will not Communicate with a HELIX series with any cable ...

If the 798 has “HD” in the model name - it will Ethernet to HELIX series ...:

Both units would need the AS EC QDE

And an Ethernet cable long enough to reach
