    Question Garmin GT56UHD-TM

Has anyone mounted this transducer on the transom. How well does it work? I mounted mine on the trolling motor.
I really dont like it there.

My 54UHD is mounted on the back. Was thinking only difference is the 56 is for deeper water. Side scan is way more useful on the back.

Same here - transom mount GT54UHD. If and when I upgrade to a 56, it will go in same place.

Wanted to give an update on my Garmin 54 transducer. I struggled with how loose to make the bracket that flips up. I would take off and it would flip up. Each time I trailered it I would tighten it just a little more. Finally got it tight enough and trolled over a log and it busted the mount to the boat. Garmin has an upgraded metal transducer bracket for $35. Garmin warrantied my bracket and sent me one on the house. Go team Garmin.
