It is in the ducer (little silver circle). During this time of year it is very common to have water Temps higher than air Temps especially in the mornings.
Where is the temperature sensor on the echomap?
Doesn't seem to be on the transducer. The reading is too high. I've noticed the temperature reading to be higher than the outside air.

If you are talking about when the transducer is out of the water and temp is higher than air temp, that is probably because the the sunshine and black plastic of the transducer create quite a bit higher temp than air temp.

What do you guys use as a gauge to determine the accuracy of the temp reported by the ducer?

My concern is the reading is 71* When the water is obviously 20* colder. The livescope doesn't have a sensor .
Yes it does, it even lists it in the specs. ( Garmin Panoptix LiveScope™ LVS12 Transducer )
Maybe your LS transducer is faulty ??
Where are you at? State?
I’m in Oklahoma, water last weekend was 69 degrees on my lake. Per livescope and HB.
