Default Used System Garmin Livescope Compatible

I'm hoping some of your electronics gurus can help me out. I'm in the life-stage where it makes no sense for me to spend $$$ on a new complete system for my fishing boat. 3 kids in private school, 1st cars to buy, college, etc.

I am fairly tech savvy and I'm ready to invest some $ into a "new to me" system. The units today are so expensive at the top-end and are changing/releasing so frequently, there out to be a heck of a used market in my mind.

I have 0 electronics on my boat right now, so anything is an upgrade to me. I'm not chasing the latest and greatest. I am intentionally wanting to stay 2-3 years behind the cutting edge for my investment but I want certain things. I'm just having a problem knowing for sure what I'm buying used will work as a system as I layer in later purchases.

I want my system to be Garmin Livescope (insert HB or Lawrence equivalent) compatible down the road. I want at least a 9 inch screen at bow and console. I want my two units to share waypoints. I want my bow unit to present trolling motor transducer data and I don't really need side imaging upfront, just DV and traditional sonar and maps of course. Console unit I want DV, SV, and mapping.

Here is what I'm thinking at a min should accomplish my goals:
1st Purchase: 2 Garmin Echomap 93SVs, + the necessary networking hardware
    2nd Purchase: Garmin Livescope
3rd Purchase: Separate monitor/unit for the bow to be able to run livescope on a dedicated monitor/unit while running my original bow-unit

Am I on the right track? Is there a better way to accomplish my goals over the next year or so?

    Thanks!
no matter what I'm doing, I've got hunting or fishing on my mind...

The Echomap 93SV for $599 is the best deal going right now. You will not find a more capable unit for less. I've been seeing them used here and there for even less.

For your bow unit, since you mentioned you will be using the integrated trolling motor transducer, you could buy a used headunit only and save even more, or buy the package and sell the transducer. Gives you more money to put towards livescope.

For your livescope monitor, another 93SV headunit, or an older used GPSmap, would suit you fine IMO.
