Thread: Long wait times for replacement parts!

Too bad better policies weren't put into place a year ago, eh?

Could you enlighten us to just a few of these better policies that you speak of?

I purchased a Garmin Echomap 93SV on Black Friday 2020. It had a defective transducer, no side view or accurate water temp. I contacted Garmin and sent the transducer back to them with an anticipated wait time of 3 weeks. The UHD 54 'ducers were backordered. Just wanted to give a heads up to those who may need warranty work or replacement parts for their sonar units. It seems that everything is out of stock. They are blaming Covid, but the increased demand is more likely the key.
If you have a special trip scheduled or a tourney coming up, I would make sure your equipment is ready- VERY long wait times for manufacturers to get parts back to you.

UPDATE: I just got my replacement transducer in the mail !!! Garmin was able to get me a UHD56 to replace my old 54. Score one for Garmin!!! You folks waiting may want to suggest they find you a 56 for your bad 54. Worth a try! Maybe I was just lucky?
