    Default Sharing Waypoints on Garmin??

I have a 73SV Plus on the front and a 73SV UHD on the back. Garmin tech told me i could run their ethernet between the two and share data. I’ve messed with a few things over the last week to no avail, resetting to default communications settings every time. To make it even more odd, I can mark one on the front, say wpt 154. it will not show on the rear, but if i mark on the rear it will mark as wpt 155. and so on. both graphs also work with my activecaptain data sharing separately just fine. any ideas?

Are you running the same transducer for both units?

Is your plus unit updated to the latest software?

separate transducers. i have not updated the plus, just spent an hour and a half with the UHD getting it updated and setting up a ln activecaptain card on it... then it was nice enough to inform me that i wasted all that time when i turned on the front unit

A tech told me the same thing about running two units but, he was talking to me about one transducer is the reason I asked. I now believe I should go with two transducers as you are doing. I hope you can get it figured out. I just can’t see how you can get information from two different units to exchange the data.

When the plus units first came out in 2018 they did not have the software to share waypoints via ethernet is why I ask. With later updates they gained the ability to do this and show everything on screen. Try updating it and see if anything changes.

The tech told me I would not need a second card when adding a additional unit

just bought a livescope and 93sv, and was { is } a nightmare setting up for me at least , you would think that for the price they charge they good be a little more explicit on the almost nonexistent instructions in the box. I've been a lowrance person for years and this is the first time with garmin, I see there is a big difference, I like the product, not so much the simplicity.
