I just talked with a Garmin technician and as Kevin22 said, you have to update your units and that you can only have one unit with a card.

i got it worked out this morning. as soon as i made a 2nd card last night, it told me to take it out. finally got the front unit updated after a couple failed attempts and now the two units share data.

9line, I just went thru this ordeal myself. My problem was that both units needed the same update like you did. I also networked mine with a tp-link 5 port desktop switch, a 12 to 5 volt reducer, a couple of Garmin cable ends and a couple of ethernet cables. All is good now! :-)
