Default Livescope – pole or trolling motor mounted or BOTH.

Recently I purchased a LowPro Rod Rack livescope mount for an Ultrex. Mainly because everything attaches to the Ultrex and not the boat- no new holes. Then made some major changes to the mount, I cut/welded the mounting plate (stainless) to move the pole out roughly 4”away from Ultrex. Also purchased (2) Scotty Sq Rail Mount $15 each, along with (1) Scotty Extension Arm $18. After cutting them up and attaching one rail mount to the LowPro pole and the other to TM Shaft using U bolts. I then attached the Livescope transducer to the extension arm. I can move the livescope transducer from trolling motor to hand control in under 25 seconds - while fishing, with no tools. Scotty items are “keyed” and can only be inserted one way, so there’s no worry about the transducer not pointing to the correct direction. I did add a ½ rubber spacer as the extension arm hit the shafts.
Cable is anchor using 1” velcro straps. These straps are attached to the transducer cable not the pole/shaft. So once the cable is moved to new position, I just wrap the strap around the shaft.
Only tested this set up three times, each time while fishing I moved the transducer from Hand Control to Foot Control at least 10x each trip. Even left the trolling motor down and ran big engine to see the cables or straps would move. Nothing - Zero problems. It’s not finished, needs lock nuts, U bolt cut, paint etc. But assembly appears to be rock solid. I run Scotty’s rod holder on my musky boat, they will hold the biggest rod, troll a 10” lure at 3 mph and stop the attack of a 50” musky.
Once the extension arm/ livescope transducer assembly locks into the rail mount it doesn’t move or wiggle, very solid.
