    Default Humminbird Helix 7 Mega Side Imaging Waypoint help


    Just purchased this unit and trying to learn the Capabilities of it , I found a few brush piles and was able to mark them . But when Trying to go to that way point With my trolling motor, My location isn't updating fast enough and I Find myself doing circles around it Does anybody have any advice as far as being able to Stop directly over the Waypoint so I can vertically dish those brush piles

    HB GPS cannot accurately calculate position at less than 0.6mph so the Chart boat icon changes to a circle below that 0.6mph ...

    The AS GPS HS antenna can help with slow speed operation because the AS GPS HS antenna also has a magnetic compass that can show boat “orientation” (boat icon instead of circle) on the Chart view even when stationary ...

    Unfortunately the HELIX 7 is not a simple connection to the AS GPS HS antenna (but it can be done) ...
