    Default Livescope problem!

Have any of y’all ever had this problem? I can be sitting still look at structure and the screen will just start getting darker and the returns kinda blotchy. Then it will return to reading fine.. voltage is 10.9 on graph but has always been 10.5-11.5. The black box is on its own battery. and I’m not sure what to check. It has just started doing this my last few trips.Name: 39ED741C-7146-436A-9DC8-F8F334D2FE81.jpg

Thank you I will try that. What has me stumped is my voltage has been in this range since i have had it and the problem is new. Also, it last maybe 2 or 3 minutes then it is back to reading correctly. But I will first address the battery issue to see if that helps

I was getting low voltage readings until I upgraded to a bigger power wire.

I would guess you have a bad connection in your wiring. Recheck everything. Any butt connectors, ring eye connections and especially if running a tube type fuse make sure you are getting good contact at both ends. If you are tying into a existing fuse panel run a separate wire size 12 or larger directly to battery.

Sounds like good advice . Long runs with small wire or bad connections can cause voltage drop. THe unit reading low voltage not on black box . I would consider a Lithium battery to run both . It is small and can be installed up close to units on most boats as very small . I run 1242 and black box on one 32 AH from Amped outdoors . It has been running them about 16 hours . Rated 14.8 volts and charges to 16.8 volts . Never drops below 12 volts before shutting off . Here is my battery box I rigged up with quick connects . Just a plastic ammo box from Harbor Freight and quick connects off Amazon . Protects battery and quick connects great to hook unit , then charger and then just to shut off power by leaving unplugged . I soldered both unit wires each to one quick connect .
