    Default Garmin Livescope power

Just got Garmin Livescope and wondering if 54AH Dakota Lithium battery will run system 10-12 hours.
    GPSMAPS 12 inch and Livescope.
Battery mentioned above will be dedicated to it only.
    Thanks in advance.
    Chuck

I think that it will. I think @nimrod is running a very similar set up with (I think he said) a 32ah Amped Outdoors battery and was getting ~16 hours out of it before voltage dropped. I just ordered the 30ah Amped to run my box and 93svUHD, will be sure to give an update once I get it in and try it out.

As I understand it ... Livescope "can" pull 4a/hr at max, and the GPSMAPS 12" unit "can" draw ~2a/hr at max draw ... but the average draw of Livescope is generally thought to be about 2a/hr.

I'm running a 93sv UHD & Livescope on a 65ah AGM battery (dedicated to 93sv/LS only) .... and I purchased that battery with the idea in mind that my 93sv/LS system would draw in the range of 4a/hr on average.

Look back and you will find several different helpful posts on this forum pertaining to different powering options for LS. I talked to several different vendors and researched the powering subject quite a bit. For some reason one of the Garmin dealers didn't like the Dakota batteries and not for sure why. However he did recommend either the milwaukee or Amped outdoor products. I chose to use two separate Milwaukee 18v lithium batteries, one is a 12ah for the black box and the other is a 8ah. I have fished for eight hours solid and still have 17 to 18 volts left. The milwaukee batteries are a little more expensive but I found a good deal at Home Depot and saved two hundred bucks.
    good luck with your search.

I bought a new 31 series battery and have dedicated it to monitor and black box. Haven’t had a chance to try it on the water yet. Hopefully Thursday.
The battery is rated for 225 minutes drawing 25 amp hours.
I can already see that I am going to Lithium for weight and size reasons.
I’ll let you know how long it last.
    Hope my calculations are right
    Thanks
    Chuck.

Chuck ... I'm likely to be heading towards the Lithium battery way, myself. Ain't getting any younger (or stronger) and living in an apt complex (2nd floor) I'm having to carry the three batteries I use from apt. to truck & then put them in the boat. Then after getting back home it's take them out of the boat & put them in the truck, then out of the truck & up the stairs to my apt. for charging. That's TWO 65lb batteries & one 45lb battery, along with my electronics & fishing gear that has to be carried to/from the boat on every single one day fishing trip. (I take the onboard charger along for any multi-day trips)

I use a 35ah and it goes 8hrs, and still has some charge. I hate charging 4 battery's.

I use an Amped Outdoors 60ah lithium for powering a 93SV, GLS10 and a Hummingbird Helix 10, it will last all day.

I would imagine that would work. I use a 55ah Agm for everything on my boat including tm and get 5 hours maybe.
