Since my eyes have a little age to them and also because a lot of the time I have someone on the front deck with me I chose the 1222 xsv Garmin model. I kept my Lowrance unit at the console for mapping and other applications. I also used Brian at BBG and very pleased with the setup.

Thanks for all the info. There are so many good ideas on this website. So here is my update:
1. purchased 93 UHD with transducer and Live scope system. Finishing up on install this week.
2. Purchased the Pole Ducer live scope transducer mount and have it installed. I also ordered the Summit live scope perspective mount and have it installed on Poleducer
3. I wired everything using a 10 gauge wire to a 29 series battery. Added a master cut off and a fuse block at the console and another at the front of boat. For the battery, I already had 4 29's in the boat and a 4/15 amp battery charger mounted. so im going to try it but may go to lithium.
4. Ordered a 106SV UHD unit with out the transducer. I plant to have it hooked up to the live scope on deck. Will move the 93 to console and run sonar transducer on the stern of the boat.
To do:
1. I currently have a the long ram mount (11' I think) for the front of the boat using the 106SV . its not going to work good when I stand. I have looked at the Dynacut mount system and really like it. So I may go that way
2. I need to find a good layer,,, My wife of 32 years is going to leave me when the Visa bill comes in!!!
