The transducer is on my ultrex, it worked fine last year when I put the boat up for the the summer. When I got it out this fall I have to turn it off and back on several time before it will start working properly. Does anyone have an idea why this is happing and what I can do to remedy the problem? Thank you in advance!

Which transducer are you using? The built in one on the ultrex? When it does this check to see what transducer is selected under installation tab in setting menu.

My Helix SI 9G2n does the same thing when I first turn it on in the morning. I shut it off and back on to get the sonar to work. It just started that after it locked up and HB had to reload the latest software. Good news is the depth works correctly now after the update lol
