    Default What HB adapter cable?

The new boat has a Ultrex with the built in MSI ducer. I want to put a Helix Mega SI G2N on the bow. What adapter cord do I need?

I just purchased a new TM from Brian at BBG marine, and this was what he told me I needed to hook the TM into my Helix 10 G2N. I am running the factory SI transducer on the rear.

Humminbird AS EC QDE Ethernet Adapter Cable CW396961
    Minn Kota MKR-MI-1 Adapter Cable f/Helix 8,9,10 & 12 MSI Units CW80634

Thank you. I had done some online research and that was the cable that I came up with but wanted some verification from someone with experience with it.

Fur, I have a Humminbird AS EC QDE Ethernet Adapter Cable I bought recently but can't use. Apparently you can't link the helix 7 gen 2 via ethernet cable. I'll sell it to you for $20 if you are interested.

What does that cable do? Link two units together?

It is an adaptor so that their ethernet cable fits certain units that dont have the same fitting as the ethernet cable itself. It worked for my 899cihdsi, but not the helix 7 gen 2. I'm not sure if you will need it or not, im not real familiar with your set up. But if you find that you do, feel free to shoot me a pm.

The MKR-MI-1 connects the Minn Kota built in MSI to the HB unit’s transducer port ...

The AS EC QDE is an adapter cable (about 14” long) that connects the Minn Kota iLink (if your TM is the iLink version) to the HB unit Ethernet connection ... if the Ethernet cable on the Minn Kota iLink is not long enough to reach the AS EC QDE - you will also need an Ethernet cable long enough to reach ...

Thanks for the reply Rickie. The Ultrex is an I pilot Link. There's two cables on the TM. One for the ducer and I guess the other is the link cable. It's been a while since I installed the bow mount Helix on my old boat and I haven't taken it off, but it seems like there's a cable that hooks from the Helix to the Ulterra (which is also a I pilot link) on that boat. If that's so, will that same cable work to hook to the Ultrex?

Humminbird Ethernet cables have not changed since the beginning ... so if it is indeed an Ethernet cable it should work ...
