Default “Best” Finder for Crappie < $1k

What are your opinions/favorite fishfinder out there for < $1k. I am outfitting my 1436 jon and really like the Garmin 93sv uhd (without livescope).

I will be looking for crappie primarily in flooded trees and under docks. Share your experiences with me friends! Thanks!

I haven’t used the 93SV in this capacity since mine is dedicated to LS, but they will be on sale at Bass Pro with the GT54UHD transducer for $600 on Black Friday. Other vendors will likely have a similar price.

Check with Brian@BBGmarine (Member Sponsor Classifieds) for a discounted price on whatever unit you decide on.

Like Mikear, I have the 93sv UHD dedicated to Livescope. I didn't get the transducer in the deal, because of that, so I can't compare it to other brands.

I have the 93sv UHD and it's an ok fish finder and probably the best bang for your buck. I don't think the resolution can compare to humminbird though and if that is important to you then I would look there. Otherwise it's a great unit. Took this yesterday with my phone, didn't plan on using it for anything just me. It's of an old bridge from when the lake was formed in the 1940's.

Go to a bog box store like basspro or cabelas and play with them. Find the one that you like and how it operates. Push the buttons or touch the screens and let a sales person describe some of the operating features. Then,,,come back and ask a few questions here if you haven’t made your mind up to buy one.
