Garmin GPSmap 942xs and Echomap 93SV UHD
Will these units share waypoints and would the GPSmap 942xs provide better quality livescope images?

The screen size is more important than resolution with Livescope. Supposedly the image is low enough resolution that a higher resolution display doesn’t help anything.
If you’re using the graph for anything other than Livescope, I’d say get the largest, highest definition unit you can afford.

Thanks Mike. I found one website saying they could, then another stating they couldn’t. Lol. Unit will be strictly for the livescope’s transducer and its capabilities.

The GPSmap has 1024 x 600 pixels vs. the 93svUHD at 800 x 400 pixels, so the images will be a bit better on the GPSmap.
The info on Sonar Sharing on the Garmin website is spotty and isn't clear. My 93svUHD manual p39 says "This feature is not available on ECHOMAP UHD 70/90 devices". This implies a 93svUHD won't share user data.
I don't know if those 2 units will share waypoints over 0193, but you can always do it manually with a data card. HTH YMMV as always..
