    Default Humminbird Smart Strike card

I met a fellow at the campground where I’m camping and he said he was going to switch over to all Garmin electronics on his boat. He wanted too much for his HB fishfinders, but I did get a deal on a Smart Strike chip for $15.00. Has anyone ever tried one? I figured for $15.00 I’d give it a try.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

The SmartStrike product can be a beneficial tool for finding similar areas of the lake that your target species may be relating to at any certain time ...

After entering certain criteria - the software will highlight on the Chart similar areas ... some areas highlighted will be understood / some areas highlighted will be places you might not have noticed without the highlight / and some areas will just be wrong ...

It does make interesting study ...

If the lake you fish is on that card you got one heck of a deal. They go new for over 150.

Not to be a naysayer but I found the highlighted areas were obvious to having the best potential and most of my waypoints were already in the highlighted area. PM me if you want to try it and I will send you mine as I don’t use it anymore.
