    I just had my Humminbird and Garmin fish finders updated to the latest updates and am wondering if I ever have to factory reset them will I lose the new updates?
    I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

    Factory reset does not affect the operating software, just the original factory settings of things like contrast, sensitivity, user level, basic views, etc.
    Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
