Default What size SD card do I need

I'm ready to update the software on my Helix 9 Gen3 DI and Helix 9 Gen3 DI units and need to know what size card do I need. Some of the info I've read talks about formatting the chip. I don't have a clue as how to do that. Can I use the same card with the new software update in both units without having to buy another card ? Also I have a Garmin Echomap Plus 93 sv unit that I need to update too. the same questions apply to the Garmin.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

32 or less. I have found smaller is better. Yes you should be able to use same card for all units. Should be same download for both birds.

Is that a typo in your unit description?
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

You'll need some way to plug the SD card into a computer. A lot of computers already have them, if not, you can buy a USB reader.

To format, you just go to my computer, right click on the SD card, go to properties, and then format.

Do you read the BBC forums? I'm pretty sure I read there that once you update with this latest release with HB, there is no going back to your current version. One of the threads there outlines what each update offers, too.
I expect the 16 SD will work just fine.
