HB 1199ci HD back light problem....looking for help
Evidently the back light on my 1199 went out today. HB said to send it back and they'll fix it for $600! No way I'm paying that. Anybody have experience with this issue and have a different resolution? Thanks in advance

I used clear cast to replace a broken power button on a Lowrance HDS. This was about 8 months ago and they were very hard to get ahold of but they did repair my unit and send it back in what I thought was a timely manner. I believe it was about a week and a half from the time I sent it to them to the time I got it back. They do have a set fee for repairing one and I don't remember off the top of my head exactly how much it was but it was cheaper than a new unit for sure. I was satisfied with their work but their communication was not the greatest.
