    Default Minn Kota charger

I had a Promar charger that is just over 1 1/2 years old and it decided to take a crap on me. After talking to them I have decided to go to another name brand charger.
I am wanting a 3 bank charger with a battery maintainer on it. Probably gonna go with a Minn Kota charger but I don't know what model I need. Don't need anything to break the bank and I'm not a tourny fisher so I don't need the best of the best. Can someone point me in the right direction on model #'s to check out? It's going in my Jon boat so space is kinda limited too. Thanks

Are you running wet cell, AGM, gel, or Lithium-Ion batteries? What size batteries and how often do you fish?

I found a 330d that had been refurbished for a decent price. Is that an OK charger?

I use a MK 220 for my batteries (wet cell 29's & a AGM) and have no problems. Were I to have to purchase another onboard charger, the MK 330D would be my first choice.
My buddy has "space" problems in his boat, so he went with NOCO Genius chargers ... because they're very small in comparison to the size of a Minn-Kota onboard charger. He's had no problems from his, either.

The 330d does have a battery maintainer right?

Yes it does. It’s a good charger. Maintenance mode is what Minn Kota calls it. See the photos of the charging profile and description from their manual for that charger.

I run the Minn Kota MK460 precision model. Have had it about a year and half and it is a nice charger. I have had zero issues with it and it stays plugged in while the boat is in the garage.

OK well I pulled the trigger on the 330d. Ended up getting a refurbished one for 125 to my door, comes with a year warranty. Hope it last longer than the Promar did.
