    Default Connecting ulterra.

I just bought a used ulterra 80. If I wanted to connect it to my helix 10 msi+ g3n and a helix 7 di gn2 what would I need to connect them all together?

It says ipilot on the top of it. It just came with the regular remote. Not the remote with the touch screen

My understanding is if it does not have the LINK system with the big remote it will not communicate with your sonar. If it has a built in transducer you may need a small adapter cable to connect 2D sonar.

It's not a link. I pilot link only came with a mega transducer. I connected mine with an Ethernet hub and cables. This way I can control it from the console or bow.

You will just get 2D sonar then.

Seems you do not have iLink by the other guy’s investigation ...

So to connect 2 HELIX together you will need 2 - AS EC QDE ...
    https://humminbird.johnsonoutdoors.c...-adapter-cable

And you will need an Ethernet cable long enough to reach ...

Do I need an ethernet box? Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before the install.

This is not true as my Ulterra Blue Tooth has the 80-200 kw puck as that is what I wanted instead of the mega transducer. Now if buying new I do not believe you have the choice any more as they droped the option.
