Nothing really.
This may be a stupid question but what issues could arise from moving my Helix 9 from the console to the trolling motor while I'm fishing. Would move it back while looking for new spots. I know I would need a transducer on TM and power up front for the unit. Other than the aggravation of the move back and forth what other issues could be created?
Nothing really.
Using a Ram mount with separate bases makes this scenario not as inconvenient ...
You will also need a cable collector at each station ...

Is your 9 mega a G3N plus either DI or SI as the Mega 360 can only be plugged into the transducer port of a G3N DI+ or SI+ unit?

I do it all the time with my Helix 8 MEGA SI+/MEGA DI+. Only gripe I have is that I have I-Pilot LINK, so I have to plug and unplug that data cable a certain way if I want to use it at either station.....I could always add an Ethernet switch box and not have to plug and unplug that cord, but that's an extra $200 I don't want to spend right now.
Keep checking bbc electronics forum as you might pick up a good used Ethernet box cheap as they pop up to be sold all the time as well as cables.

I put in a switch box on my boat and cables. I feel that it was well worth the time and money.
