Default How to get 1 24v circuit from 12 v boat

    Guys
This may be simple, but not to me.
I have 1 12v batteries on my boat running everything.
I want to create 2 24v circuits from those batteries but leave the other wires as at 12v .
    Ideas ?

    Thanks

How much current you need for 24v? You can get 24v from 12v. If you need a lot of current, do as shown in Bill's drawing.

What are you going to run that is 24V, and how much total current are we talking? Couple options and it all depends on requirements... what are they?

    Gls10 livescope 12-32v
    58 watt max
    21 watt typical
It has been reported that running it on 24v improves the images.
    Thought I'd try it.

    Thanks

Dont know how to rig it electrically yet.
I need to get 1 or 2 24v circuits from batteries that service 12v trolling motor, start main engine and run a 12v humminbird, plus pumps.

For simplicity I would probably just use something like this and leave everything else the way it is.

    Robot Check

You could also connect both batteries in series, and run 12v accessories off of one battery or the other, that further complicates things, but would work just as well. However, in this configuration, the livescope is going to draw from both batteries, so you would need to be wary about killing the starting battery.
