Since your trolling motor is hooked up to one of the 12 volt batteries you may get tons of interference from the trolling motor.

Simple buy two small 24 volt lithium's and keep a one conventional 12 volt battery for cranking. Less space taken up but at much higher cost. What you trying to power that would require two 24v feeds and a lone 12v feed I guess would help most here from having a nervous breakdown

Just read your earlier response about running scope and gls10 on 24volts for better resolution or return. I think your misinformed, I do run two designated Dual Cranking 24's in parallel to maintain optimum voltage even after a long day. 12.3 volts and above are more then adequate, Ive noticed many great screenshots from others at less voltage. I think you wire your gls10 and or unit up to 24 volt you will see a burn out not a quality of return or images. Matter fact I think the subject is BS I was just referred here by a friend

    Thanks
I just need 1 24v circuit, maybe 2 circuits, but 1 24 v battery would work for both.
    Thanks

It may be complete BS but there are a few guys swearing it dramatically improves livescope performance.
I'm looking for a free way to test it.
I can't see why anyone would lie about it. Nor do i understand why it would help assuming gls10 has a voltage regulator.

    Thanks

I am, I could easily swap my setup over to a 24 volt system wiring my batteries in a series. After looking into it Garmin says you can use up to 32 volts. Until I see it for my own eyes on someone's else's unit then I won't believe it. I just don't see that it would make a difference, I could be wrong though. Can't find anything on the net about folks using the 24v setup. Contact Garmin and see what thier input is on it. I would be curious as to thier response myself.

If Garman will run up to 36 volts The only way I could see this happening is if the units on 12 volt are not getting enough voltage to start with as I would imagine if Garmin does this it has a built in voltage regulator and if it does it will cause more heat in the unit itself. Heat is a byproduct of reducing voltage so it is wasting more power from the batteries.

I have 2 24v batteries from my cordless drill.
I'm going to rig the 4 AH one up and see for myself.
Then a 12v battery all with the same length of wire.
    About 6 ft.
    Just on the gls10.

Brettw, I probably have a couple of small 12v lithiums, about 7ah size each that you are welcome to if you would like to try them.
Thanks brettw thanked you for this post
