    Default Solar Panel Help

Last year I purchased and installed a 1 watt solar panel charger/maintainer. it's adout a foot wide and 3' long. It would bring my trolling motor battery back up to almost full charge in a week between trips. The battery is a series 31or32 ??? 12V deep cycle marine battery, and about 2 yrs old. I just checked and put very little water in it to top it off and brought it to the house to charge. 84 percent of bat life remaining after @6hrs continuise use today. Now for the question how do I check the solar panel to see how much of a charge its giving the battery? Where on a meter do I set the dile to see how much it's putting out?

Set the meter on amps and put it in series with the positive lead to the battery. It looks like the panel is working as advertised but just not big enough to do what you need.

1Watt? That’s about 68 milliamps max. A 9V battery could put out that much power for 8 hours.
