I have a 112 on my pontoon and it moves it around just fine. I haven't tried my 80 on it so I don't now how it would do.
Putting a Terrova on my pontoon, not sure if I'm going with an 80 or a 112, to pull crankbaits. Is anyone running either of these motors and does anyone run the lithium batteries, if not how many hours do you get out of your deep cycle batteries?

I ran the Ulterra 112 for 3 years and with Group 27 lead acid batteries and I could pull cranks for 8 hours before dead. I know have a ultrex 112 and moved up to group 31 Duracell deep cycle so I expect to get more time.
This is on a Lowe 195 stinger and a lot of people ask why I went 36v and the big motor. Besides pulling cranks for crappie I fish the big rivers for cats and back bounce/control drift and the current ate the juice in my original 24 volt system in a couple hours.

I ran a 80 lb terrova with two group 31 deep cycle batteries, fresh and in a calm day it would pull my 18’ ranger around for 8 hrs, throw in a good breeze, they’d die in 6hrs, I hear lithium is the way to go but boy their proud of them

I'm running a 112 Ulterra w/ 72" shaft on a 19 Lund deep v. I'm running 3 55 amp hr lithium batteries and can them for 10 hrs and still have 75% left. I bought them from Amped outdoors.
Not to highjack the thread, but are any of the Lithiums made in the USA?

Bighornrmk, so you are running three 12volt batteries, what did you pay for those, if you don't mind me asking? Thanks

Slowhand, I did a little research and I think some are, but not sure.

Friend of mine run’s a 112 on a 21/70 Blackhawk and he pulls cranks and long lines up to 10 hours a day in all kinds of weather. Runs 3 golf cart batteries at about 150.00 or so each. So for price of one lithium you could buy 3 batteries and a charger. Plus with lithium you have to have a special charger which is quite expensive.
