As I use my SI strictly looking for fish I do not care what is on the bottom and the pretty picture I will speed up my SI scroll speed as this elongates fish and shadows making them easier to see. If I find things of interest then I will slow down my scroll speed to match boat speed, swing around and have another look for a better picture. My biggest problem when I first got SI I spent all my time trying to figure out what I was looking at versus looking for fish, so my eyes were locked on the object not looking around the screen for actual fish.

I have a gen 1 9 on the back and a gen 3 chirp Di mega on front . I run my 9 on 35 ft . Different world, seeing fish . Finding lay downs brush ect , I run it on 90 . I have a hard time seeing fish way out from the boat .
