Prayer Request Livescope & 93UHD power?

Have everything mounted for Livescope with Garmin 93svUHD chartplotter.

GLS10 Livescope Blackbox mounted in compartment in stern = check
Power to GLS10 Livescope from cranking battery = check
Transducer mounted on Pole = check
Chartplotter mounted on bow = check

For some reason and I may have dreamed it.....I was thinking I was told that the data cable from the GLS10 box would also serve to power up the chartplotter as well. That it was both the power and data cable to the graph and I may be completely nuts

If that is not the case, which battery should graph be ran too. I have blue top Optimas 1 for the start battery (the one the GLS10 is hooked too) and two for the trolling motor up front. Its a 12volt Minn Kota but the two batteries are run in parallel.

If I run to the back of the boat what size wire should I use?

Thank you all for letting me ramble with this and thanks for the help you have provided up to this point.

The network cable does not supply power to the graph. I recommend 10 AWG tinned copper marine wire to the cranking battery, with a 20A breaker at the battery. You can leave the fuse near the graph where the Garmin wire meets the #10 wire. Using the trolling motor battery often leads to noise issues.

And as I understand it, the LS system draws 4amps/hr .... so take that into account when running it off the starter battery. Friend of mine now has a dedicated battery just for his Livescope, because it was draining his starting battery down to where the big motor was hard to start.

If the run is over 18 ft. I would use 8 gauge, had 10 gauge in mine and changed it to 8 gauge because it was around a 20 ft. run but the 8 gauge drained the battery fast. Put another battery in my boat just for Livescope.

I also run a dedicated battery for my system.

BTW, the wire size has little to do with the current drain running down the battery. Wire size mostly affects voltage drop.

As stated, PLS is a power hog, so consider beefing up your battery power, for trouble free fishing.
