    Default Live Scope accessory switch

Finishing up installing the livescope. I went with the Livescope with a 93 sv UHD.

My question is that I have read several post that say to install a on/off switch to shut the unit completely down when not using. The install directions leave a little bit to be desired for wiring. I have plenty of room to install the switch just above where I mounted the GLS10 box.

Should that switch be between the battery and the fuse or should it be between the fuse and the GLS10 box.

Probably a simple answer, but just want to make sure I do this the right way the first go round . Cause I am ready to get the Livescope party started.

I'm by no means an expert, but I'd put it close to the box and the fuse close to the battery.

I do not use a switch and have never had a single issue. I measured the current when the Graph is off, and it is only 13 mA. That small current will not run the battery down (I use a 50 AH Lithium for my electronics), it would take months to run a properly sized battery down. If I would ever need to turn it off, I can disconnect the power lead, or pull the fuse, but I never have needed to.

Now might be a good time to consider a Perko disconnect switch for the entire electronics circuit ...

    PERKO Inc.

This would would serve as a disconnect (toggle) for your intended device and protect your boat from an unintended short ...

Install Perko close to the battery ...

Going by the wiring diagram in the installation instructions, it shows the switch symbol close to the battery and the fuse right after the switch.
