    Default Live scope

I am so close to buying Livescope. The only thing that I fear is that as soon as I get it some thing new will come out. I believe that at the ICAST show in July that Garmin will have a Live scope that will be 40 degree cone. I think I will wait. If not I'm sure Garmin will have another sale.

When you do get one you're going to wish you had gotten it before you did.

When will the latest new thing be available? November? Next spring? There is a lot of fishing to be done between now and then. Yeah it stinks but you can always sell here and buy the newest version without a complete loss. If you can afford it go for it.

I'm not sure a 40 degree cone would be a good thing. It would make it harder to pinpoint the fish. You are fishing in a 3D world using a 2D view. But I agree something better could be coming.

I agree with Rick, the 40 dgr will hinder your ability to tell where the fish are left to right. I have a livescope and the 20dgr makes it much easier to do. I recently watched a webinar on livescope by Garmin who used this as a tool to show why livescope was better BECAUSE it had a 20 dgr and that the competition had 40 and it wasnt as good. So I doubt they would put out a 40. If they do, don't buy it.

Love my LS. Completely changed the way I fish and how many I catch. Love watching the fish, similar to bow hunting deer. You just see so much more and can alter your presentation when you see them not take your bait. Biggest thing is not wasting time trying to figure out if there are fish on the brush you mapped or if they just don’t like your bait. If there are no fish you move on immediately. Best investment I have ever made. Just saying...
