Helix 12 GEN three GPS chart plotter won’t navigate to waypoint

I just noticed the last two times I’ve been fission if I try to go to the waypoint on my helix 12 which has the Ultrex trolling motor connected to it it won’t navigate to the Wi-Fi it doesn’t even make an attempt. I have a Minnkota GPS puck and it was working in the past. May be a stupid question but I cannot make it work tried all the settings tried to restore defaults

Are you attempting GOTO with the i-Pilot remote or the Humminbird unit GOTO button??

both.. i called humminbird today and they said i need the link for that to function. i didnt argue since my previous system was a link, but i could have sworn that the helix 12 on my new system used to do this task.

The GOTO feature initiated in the HB unit (by pressing the GOTO button on the HB) should work regardless of TM type or model ...

Does anything pop up on the HB when pressing the GOTO button on the HB ...??

yes it acts like its working. it comes up with nav and go to position and when press the button it shows bearing info and the track and the drift ring, but motor does nothing. in a few seconds its off course

Like HB advised - the TM will not respond to any GOTO function initiated on the HB unit if the TM is not the iLink version ... iLink (Ethernet connection) is the only possible way the HB unit can talk to the TM ...

Conversely if you are initiating the GOTO function on the TM remote and the GOTO function is not working - you either do not have the prop set to “Auto On” or the something is wrong with the TM ...

Head unit says Minn Kota Ipilot GPS system (bluetooth)
