    Are you running 2 humminbirds?
    Mine will do that if i have both units 2d set on the same frequency.

    No I have a Garman running today but it’s been doing this the last two or three times I’m fission and I just installed the Garman today

    I'm thinking the gain may be a bit high ... or you may be picking up trash that the unit is interpreting as fish.
    That's one reason why I rarely, if ever, use the 2d or 2d overlay on my Lowrance Hook unit ... & especially not with Fish ID turned on. But, that's just me. I went from b/w 2d units straight to a color DI only unit and refuse to look/go back (even though I now have a unit that will show 2d or DI separately or split screen or DI with 2d overlaid).

    I agree, I used too use fish I'd but got too many false readings. I learned how to interpret how fish look and haven't used it since.

    turned gain down and that fixed it
