    If you were buying two new imagers which type side or down imaging? What size at bow or dash? Etc.?Thanks in advance!

    The biggest you can afford. I've found that having SI on the bow with transducer mounted on trolling motor is useless. Too much prop wash for mine to read.

    I would buy one Garmin. If the transducer has an issue with prop wash mount,it on Rickie’s Da Ducer. I never had a problem.

    I would get at least a 9" Humminbird mega G3N for the dash. I had a regular 7 and switched to the 9 mega and it's night and day. For the front I would get either a standard 2d with mapping if you are budget minded. A 7" G2N would work. Network those together so you can mark brush on the side image then locate it with the front unit.

    If it's in your budget put a Garmin with livescope up front with a 9" screen at least. I don't know enough about Garmin to recommend their side imaging but I would assume a UHD unit would be ok if you wanted to go all Garmin.

    A lot of this depends on what type of fishing you do.
