Default Echo map 93sv plus with gt52hw ducer

What all types of views will this ducer pick up. I know traditional. But as best as i can tell it has down image and side image also. Along with panoptix livescope separately ..
how is the down view compared to bird di
How is side view compared to bird si.

I just installed the same graph and transducer. I'm very dissatisfied with the side vu. My older Lowrance is 10x better. I will pull the transducer cable and re route before giving up on it.

From everything that I've seen and read the 2d is good. DI not very good and SI is very bad. Useable I guess you could say but nowhere near as good as HB.
Of the 4 major manufacturers Garmin would be in 4th place by a wide margin in side imaging.
Thank goodness they have Livescope which is great!
The 93an plus units are really well made units, easy to operate and allot of bang for the buck, just not good images.

I've used the di and si very little, cant keep it off of the livescope long enough to try it, especially now with perspective view.

I fixed my Garmin live vue problem. Replaced it with a Humminbird Helix12 Mega Si. Wow this thing makes me as excited as the live scope on front.

I have a 93sv and 73cv. The cv is real good and the sv is good. Dont use the traditional di to much but it looks fine. I started out with 93sv mounted at the helm but moved it later to the the bow. The sv works better there. Transducer mounted on trolling motor.
