    Default Helix 7 g2 vs Helix 7 g3 mega

Saw the bass pro catalog and they have the Helix 7 chirp si gps g2 for $399... The same unit G3 Mega is $799.. Does anyone have the units and is it worth it to get the mega.. This will be to replace an older 898 si I have in the console dash...

I would try to have the latest model if possible (and biggest). If not the G2 will be out of date for upgrades and will soon be another 898. New technology is expensive
A person should learn something new every day!

Considering your plan for a larger unit in the summer ...:

    HELIX 7 G2 and G3 are not networkable ...

The designation must say G2N or G3N to be networkable ...

The latest Bass Pro sales flyer is wrong in advertising that a helix 7 g3n is compatible with mega 360. Only the G3N + units beginning with the helix Mega 8 SI+ G3N and all larger DI+ and SI+ Mega G3N units are compatible with Mega360. Just a FYI!
