    Default Perspective vs. Mega 360

So what is your thoughts on LiveScope Perspective image when compared to the Mega 360? Forgetting that the 360 is just that a 360 degree view if you were to lock it down to be equal to the 20 degree view of live scope are you going to see about the same image or will one out view the other?

I think we will have to wait until the mounting brackets come out and get some time on the water to dial in the LS before we really compare the two units. My personal opinion is that LS will never have the detail/clarity of the M360. I really think the Perspective view is only going to benifit folks that are in my position, I have a LiveScope system and would really like to have M360 to go with it but cant justify buying it.

What he said. Sure can't complain about the cost of the Livescope perspective view if you already have Livescope, a free download and at most a $99 mount unless you make your own.
Should be interesting once we start seeing some on water videos. Oh and Livescope perspective view will be "live"

Cannot comment on the 360 Mega. But ran a 360 first generation one season while using Panoptix PS-30 and PS-21. I sold the 360 the following season. Not having to strain and see fish made my mind up. I still have a Humminbird Helix 10 SI G2 on boat. But unless the terrova is being used it remains off.

Mega 360 requires a helix mega DI+ or SI+ G3N unit so your G2N unit will not work with Mega 360 as the Mega 360 has to be plugged into the back of the G3N+ unit and only then can you network it to other units.

As I have H/B on my boat already and can't afford to buy Garmin's Garmin's sonars. I will have to go with a mega 360. Had I not just bought a Helix G3N 12 mega SI. I might get a live scope. But I think that 360 just might get what I need.

Show someone a still picture and they may say "nice screenshot".

Show the same person a video of LS live and they usually reply "OOhh, AAhh, Wow, Whoa etc.".
