    Default Helix 7 mega

Just got one for the bow. I had it installed by a reputable dealership. The transducer is mounted to my ultrex 112. Everything works fine except When I engage the tm the side imaging gets distorted. Down imaging and sonar works fine. Side imaging works until I engage the prop on the tm. I shot a video of what it’s doing but I can’t get it to post on here. Any help is appreciated.

For video you have to upload to another site to host the video like YouTube and then link to here.

Figure it’s the prop wash it could be picking up. Try taking a picture with phone and posting it.

There are a couple of other possibilities but would need to see an image or video. There is some distortion created when turning the TM (prop speed on or off), or could be interference (RFI) coming from the TM motor which happens normally as speed is increased on TM.

This is just a screenshot of the video. It only does it with the propeller engaged. Power setting has no effect the pic is not great but it’s the best I can do for the moment

I’m going to say it’s picking up disturbance from prop moving the water. I have used mine so little on SI I can’t remember if mine does that or not. What about if you slow your speed down, does it change any. And if not a big pain next chance you get shoot a good pic of ducer mounted on motor.

Mount the transducer on the other side of the shaft, closer to the nose of the trolling motor.
