    Default Problem with Elite Ti

Hey all, I'm having a problem with my graph shutting off suddenly while under power. I'll be trying to scan a brushpile and throw a marker buoy, and all of a sudden it'll shut off. I checked the connections, the battery, and the back of the unit. Anybody had this happen before?

It only happens under power of the motor. The unit is on it's own battery, except for the charger is hooked up to all 3 batteries I have.

    Thanks in advance....Cp

Check any wire splices at ring connectors at battery and any splices. Has to be power issue caused by vibration from motor if only does it while motor is running. Do you have on a ram mount and is head unit shaking while motor is running.

Yep, sure do. I’m going to re-wire it this week.

Reading through a battery thread, I realized a detail I left out. I have the transducer on a portable mount, so I have to take it out of the water when going faster than idle. Could this be causing some sort of problem?

I wouldn’t think so, not familiar with the newer Lowrance units. I’d think more in the direction of it pulling against some wiring causing your disconnect. Real easy to check. Just turn it on sitting at house and see if not having ducer in water causes it to shut down in a few minutes. Something else you could do. You should be able to have it on at the house and start wiggling wiring in different spots from unit back to battery to try to find the spot you losing power.

I have the same unit and have experienced this issue. i always believed it to be in the factory mount. Only happens if its shaking around, mostly banging across waves.
